This September, we’re proud to be part of the nationwide celebration marking 30 years of Adult Learners Week in Australia, running from 1–8 September.

This year’s theme, Celebrate Learning Together, is a reminder that learning isn’t just about facts and figures – it’s about connection, confidence, and opening up new possibilities.

The week highlights the many ways learning can transform lives. It’s a great chance to try something new, rediscover old hobbies or passions, and meet others who are also exploring their own learning journeys – all about embracing growth at any age.

At Brimbank and Brimbank Libraries, we’re excited to host a variety of events that reflect the spirit of Adult Learners Week. You’ll find a mix of hands-on workshops, creative sessions, community gatherings, and practical information events – each designed to support and inspire learners in our community.

Explore all the events happening at Brimbank including a Vegetable Companions & Edible Gardens session, One-on-One Career Guidance, a breadmaking demonstration, and lots more.
