Children’s Book Week is almost here! This annual celebration of children’s books and reading will be held from 22-28 August.

This year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, celebrates the many voices, perspectives, and stories that come together to inspire young readers.

To celebrate Book Week, we’ll be hosting a range of special activities throughout the week. Children and families can join us for events, enjoy stories together and discover new books.

Book Week wouldn’t be complete without dress-ups! Our library staff love dressing up as their favourite characters, and we’d love to see your book-inspired costumes too. Come along to our events and storytimes dressed as a character from a favourite book. Browse Storytime sessions

What’s On

Tiny Tales Workshops

Young storytellers will become real authors and illustrators, creating their very own books. Through storytelling, writing, and illustration, children will build confidence in expressing their ideas while learning the foundations of storytelling.
