Premier’s Reading Challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge encourages children and students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online.

The Premier’s Reading Challenge in Victoria is an exciting initiative that encourages children and students to embark on a literary journey by setting a goal to read a specified number of books throughout the year. Participating in the challenge not only cultivates a love for reading but also enhances language skills, comprehension, and imagination.

Participants record their progress online, earning badges along the way as milestones are reached. All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.

The Challenge serves as a platform for fostering a lifelong passion for literature while celebrating the accomplishments of young readers across Victoria. Since it began in 2005, over 60 million books have been read by more than 4.3 million students participating in the Challenge.
