Digitisation Station FAQs

Basic computer skills are required, and you will need to attend an induction session before booking the digitisation station.
At each digitisation station you can find detailed, step-by-step instructions to help use the equipment.

During your booking, library staff will be available to help you with questions on how to use the equipment.

Scanning items like photographs and negatives takes approximately one minute per item.
The digital conversion process takes place in real time for audio and VHS items. For example, if your record or VHS runs for 20min, it will take 20min to digitise.

You must be in attendance for the whole digitisation process.
