A sensory map visually indicates areas based on sensory experiences like noise and lighting. At Deer Park Library, blue sections on the sensory map mark quieter, low-sensory areas with fewer people like the outdoor courtyard and study spaces. The purple sections denote busier, high-sensory zones such as the children’s area, young people’s area, games and computer areas, and the Maker Space. High noise periods are typically from 9:30-11:30 AM and 3:00-5:30 PM. Seating and study areas are shown in orange. For help, find a staff member with a name badge or visit the Information Desk.
