Sunshine Library, located on Hampshire Road beside the Brimbank City Council Office buildings, stands as the largest branch within Brimbank Libraries. Hampshire Road is a lively strip, bustling with shops, restaurants, and local businesses, offering a diverse range of amenities and services, and is a dynamic hub where the community comes together to shop, dine, and connect.

Across two levels, Sunshine Library boasts an extensive collection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, CDs, and a Toy Library. While there are plenty of comfortable study areas, those seeking privacy or a quieter space can book small study booths or rooms for focused work.

Learning Centres and computer rooms on Level 1 are designated for reading, studying, and hosting regular library programs. While these spaces cannot be booked, requests for their use, especially for programs focusing on learning and employment pathways in partnership with Brimbank Libraries, will be considered. A sensory map visually indicates areas based on sensory experiences like noise and lighting. At Sunshine Library’s Ground Floor, blue sections on the sensory map mark quieter, low-sensory areas with fewer people like the games area, the computer area, seating along the windows, and the section towards the back of the library. The purple sections denote busier, high-sensory zones such as the computers at the front of the library, and the information desk. High noise periods are typically from 9:30-11:30 AM and 3:00-5:30 PM. Seating and study areas are shown in orange. For help, find a staff member with a name badge or visit the Information Desk.

There is extensive parking nearby including the parking lot across from the Visy Cares Hub and around Sunshine Marketplace. Check signs as parking limits apply.

Bus – Bus routes 220, 408, 410, 903 and 941 will get you to Sunshine Library. The nearest stops are on Hampshire and Devonshire Roads.

Train – The closest train station is Sunshine Station.
