Warm Winter Read

Annual Victorian statewide campaign encouraging readers to dedicate more time to books over the winter months.

1 June – 31 August

Cosy up with a good read this Winter!

Reading comes in many forms, and it’s easier to find time to read than you think – whether that’s listening to an audiobook, flipping through a graphic novel, browsing a magazine or curling up with a book.

The Warm Winter Read supports adults and young people (16+) to find more time to enjoy reading. We’ll help you get started with recommendations from authors you love, and connect you with other readers to share your thoughts on what you read. Participants will also go into the running to win some great prizes!

How to Participate

From 1 June, enter online via the Public Library Victoria website:

  • Log in or create an account if it’s your first time
  • Select Brimbank Libraries as your local library service

There are four challenge levels to aim for. Complete levels by 31 August to go into the draw to win a prize.

Prefer a paper entry?

Pick up the Warm Winter Read booklet from any of our library branches, or download a copy (1.42 MB). It includes a paper entry form, plus optional activities to make winter reading more fun.
